Welcome back to Term 4

Hello and welcome back to school for a busy Term 4! 

This term we look forward to the following important events and activities:

Dancing (taking place every Thursday). 

Swimming (weeks 7 and 8). 

Please see below an overview of some of the areas we will be working on in class this term:

Writing 

- Persuasive and Narrative text structures 

- Creating complex sentences using a variety of conjunctions, adjectives, verbs and adverbs. 

- Applying varied punctuation such as ellipsis, question & exclamation marks, commas and speech marks.

Reading

- A more in-depth analysis and comprehension of texts including persuasive and poetry texts. A focus on inferring, making connections and interpreting the meaning of unknown words. 

Maths

- Numero 

- Number patterns 

- Reading and writing numbers up to four digits and beyond 

- Measuring area

Science

- Force and Motion (Physical Science)

Health

- Protective Behaviours
